KIDS CLAY - 4th to 6th Grade

Students will learn the basics of making objects out of clay, and will learn how glazes and other surface treatments work to turn mud to stone, and into beautiful works of art. Everyone will leave this class with several finished functional, and/or sculptural objects, and have an opportunity to work on the wheel. This class is limited to five students.

This class will serve as an introduction to clay, the hand building process and the studio. Over the course of 10 weeks, we will explore the basics of hand-building and will work with tools, stamps, underglazes and glazes to create interesting and beautiful forms. This class is limited to six students, and is a pre-requisite and foundational course for anyone interested in taking any other class at Green House Pottery. $350

WHEEL THROWING FOR ADULTS

This class serves as the introduction to wheel-throwing, and is open to anyone who has already taken the first class here at Green House. Over the course of 10 weeks, we will explore the wheel and focus on the basics of wheel throwing, as well as further exploration of surfaces and glazes. Students will throw cups, mugs and bowls to start, and also experiment with trimming and additions like handles. This class is limited to five students. $375
